Good Friday 19th April

  8.30  A Parish Pilgrimage led by Jeff to start at Bassingham and conclude at 2pm in Thurlby. (Further details below)

10.00  Worship at Bassingham with craft activities concluding with refreshments and Easter Egg hunt.

  2.00  Last Hour of the Cross at Thurlby.

  7.00  The Cross of Christ with Bassingham Choir at St.Michael’s, Bassingham.

Good Friday Parish Pilgrimage with Jeff

The Pilgrimage will take us round all the churches.  At each one we offer prayers and a Bible reading.

The timings of the walk are designed to allow us to arrive at the church where The Last Hour of the Cross takes place in time for us to join the service.

Meet at St Peters Church in NORTON DISNEY

Stage 1: Commence walk to Stapleford

Arrive at All Saints Church STAPLEFORD 

Stage 2: Commence walk to Carlton le Moorland.

Arrival at St Mary’s Church CARLTON LE MOORLAND.

Stage 3: Commence walk to Bassingham.

Arrival at St Michael and All Angels’ Church BASSINGHAM

Stage 4: Commence walk to Aubourn

Arrival at St Peter’s Church AUBOURN

Stage 5: Commence final walk to Thurlby

Arrive at St Germain’s Church THURLBY where the service of The Last Hour of the Cross will commence at 2pm.

You can all of the journey or a part which suits you.  Join and leave as you wish.  If you do drop out, we should be able to organise transport back to your base and so don’t feel that you will be left stranded.   Please wear sensible shoes as there is a combination of road, path and cross country walking.  Also bring suitable clothing.  At present the weather forecast is for a dry, sunny and warm (up to 17o) day but be prepared for anything.

Thursday April 25th at 7.30pm at Aubourn Enterprise Centre.  EVERYONE is welcome to attend the Annual General Meeting of the PCC

ST MICHAEL’S 200 CLUB

Yes, it’s that time of year again! Annual subscriptions are due in May. Still £12 per number. Cheques should be made payable to “St. Michael’s 200 Club” and given to Sue Black, 3 Badgers Oak, Bassingham, Michael Freeman or one of the church wardens.  You don’t need to be a regular church goer to join this club, so if you know of anyone who may like to help us raise funds for the upkeep of our church, please encourage them to join.
