St. Michael and All Angels Church, Bassingham

3-Bassingham-OutdoorSt. Michael and All Angels Church hosts a variety of acts of worship and events.
It is the only one of our six churches which holds a Sunday service every week, at  10.30am.

Our ‘Buggy Service’ gathers twice a month on Wednesday mornings at 10am for worship and fellowship for pre-school children and their carers.

‘Tea-Time church’ at 4pm on the fourth Sunday of each month is home for young families who enjoy the informal atmosphere and sharing tea together.

A church is recorded on the site in Bassingham in the Domesday Book of 1086.
Today’s building has seen development in six phases over many centuries. It was significantly rebuilt in 1860 when large parts of the structure had collapsed. The most recent addition to the building was the creation of a meeting room to host our children’s Sunday Club.

The church is open each day. Entries in the visitor’s book and the prayer request journal suggest a steady flow of callers who come for all sorts of reasons.

We hope you might come and find us, either for public worship or simply  to enjoy the quiet atmosphere blessed by many centuries of prayer.  A warm welcome awaits you.
