Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’  Matthew 19:14

Within Withamside United Parish we welcome all children and young people who wish to worship with us.  However, we understand that the normal Sunday services might not quite suit the needs of a boisterous toddler or school aged youngster.  So, although families are very welcome all the time, here are a few of our services that try to offer something very special for our youngsters.

Family Communion

Family Communion happens in Bassingham on the third Sunday of each month at 11.00.  The service is geared to all ages and the normal sermon is likely to be a short talk or shared activity.  There are opportunities for families to get involved in the service and we look forward to welcoming you and also hearing your ideas about how we can make our worship as meaningful  as possible.

Buggy Service

Buggy Service takes place every other Wednesday from 10am in Bassingham Church. The format is very relaxed and enables pre-school children from  birth upwards along with their parents and carers to take part in an act of worship and to enjoy time for conversation and play with other families over refreshments.

Tea Time Church

Held at 4pm on the fourth Sunday of the month in Bassingham Church Tea Time Church is aimed at school age children and their families and friends. The format includes craft activities and act of worship around a theme and then the sharing of Sunday tea together.
